Privacy

TL;DR: Scene collects nothing. Scene transmits nothing. This website has no analytics.

What Scene stores locally

Your data is stored as plain JSON files on your machine:

  • Your layouts: ~/Library/Application Support/Scene/layouts.json
  • Your workspaces: ~/Library/Application Support/Scene/workspaces.json
  • Your settings: ~/Library/Application Support/Scene/settings.json

Scene never reads or writes anywhere else without explicit user action (e.g., launching an app in a workspace).

Network access

Scene makes one outbound request, on manual trigger only: it queries api.github.com/repos/ChiFungHillmanChan/macbook-resizer/releases/latest to show a passive "update available" hint. No personal information, no identifiers, no tracking.

Accessibility permission

Scene uses the macOS Accessibility API to read and set window frames. This data is used in-memory only and never leaves your machine.

This website
