TL;DR: Setpiece collects nothing. Setpiece transmits nothing. This website has no analytics.

What Setpiece stores locally

Your data is stored as plain JSON files on your machine:

• Your layouts: ~/Library/Application Support/Scene/layouts.json
• Your workspaces: ~/Library/Application Support/Scene/workspaces.json
• Your settings: ~/Library/Application Support/Scene/settings.json

Setpiece never reads or writes anywhere else without explicit user action (e.g., launching an app in a workspace).

Network access

Setpiece connects to GitHub to check for updates, and to nothing else. It asks api.github.com for the list of Setpiece releases when it launches, then at most once a day while it runs. If you click Update available in the menu bar, it downloads the new DMG from GitHub. Neither request carries personal information, identifiers, or tracking.

Accessibility permission

Setpiece uses the macOS Accessibility API to read and set window frames. This data is used in-memory only and never leaves your machine.

This website

No cookies. No local storage. No analytics (Plausible, Google, Mixpanel — none). No third-party scripts. No font CDN (fonts are self-hosted or system).
